Strengthening Environmental Collaboration: A Strategic Visit Between Century Organization for Environment and Humanitarian Relief (COEHR) and Hasar Organization

On February 7, 2024, a senior management team from Century Organization for Environment and Humanitarian Relief (COEHR) consisting of (Dr. Hemn Abdulkhaliq Gaznayi / President), (Mr. Sherwan Yasin Baban / Vice President) and (Dr. Majid Hassan / Logistics Manager) conducted an official visit to Hasar organization and were welcomed by (Mr. Gashbin Idris / President of Hasar Organization). The purpose of the visit was to extend the relationship between both organization and discussion on environmental issues and solutions. In the beginning, the team of Hasar organization were talked about their projects that have been implemented to reduce damages and improve the environment in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, including (planting one million trees and recycling heavy water of sewages and using it to irrigate trees and gardens in Erbil city, etc.). ). Hence, the Century organization team presented the vision and mission of the organization and scientific solutions to improve the Earth's environment, including the causes of global warming and how to emission volume of greenhouse gases, those gases in our atmosphere that trap and release heat, and contribute to climate change, the use of advanced sciences such as Remote Sensing to estimate and measure environmental damage and predictable solutions. In conclusion, both sides have been agreed on working together for environmental projects and holding more scientific meetings in the future to address environmental issues, and solitons.
